Yes, but it’s dependent on the job and course of study. The Master of Psychology (Clinical) for example is well recieved. The Ministry of Health has stated that those looking to be employed as Clinical Psychologists in public healthcare institutions can complete their studies at James Cook University. Further to that, JCU alumnus such as Dr Janice Tan have taken on roles in ministries and public institutions like the Ministry of Social and Family Development.

Graduates of the Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) have are also employed at NTU Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine and NUS Yong Loo Ling School of Medicine.

Yes. There are various scholarships available.

Merit Scholarship

The merit scholarship that is only available to students studying in the Singapore campus of James Cook University.

There are 3 scholarship categories in total:

  • 100% scholarship on 1 academic year*
  • 50% scholarship on 1 academic year*
  • 25% scholarship on 1 academic year*

*1 academic year is equivalent to 8 subjects

Sports Scholarship

This is for carded Team SG athletes who are endorsed by Singapore Sports Institute and applying to commence study in the Singapore campus of JCU by 2021.

The scholarship is equivalent to the tuition fees of SGD$10,000.

SAFRA Scholarship

SAFRA members who are endorsed by the SAFRA National Service Association may applying if they’re planning to commence study in the Singapore campus of JCU by 2021.

HDR Scholarship

The Higher Degree by Research scholarship are for those looking to enroll as a PhD candidate. James Cook University offers a range of competitive scholarships for domestic and international applicants. When you apply for a scholarship, you will be considered for all the scholarships for which you are eligible, starting from the scholarship with the highest value.
