James Cook University’s Response to PM Lee’s Announcement

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong addressed the nation at 4pm on 3rd April to inform us about the “circuit breaker” that the government is implementing.

The country broke the psychological barrier of 1000 covid-19 cases and there seems to be evidence of community spread. In light of this new development, workplaces not providing essential services will have to close and schools, including institutes of higher learning will have to transition to home-based learning.

Here’s a summary of James Cook University Singapore’s response to the Singapore government’s announcement:

  1. Online learning for all students via our learning management system, LearnJCU from Monday, 6th April.
  2. Campus closure from 6pm onwards on Monday, 6th April.
