An ICT programme that is tuition-free, has no teachers, no classes and has no academic prerequisites is being offered out of the Singapore University of Technology and Design.
Called the 42 Singapore programme, it utilises a peer-learning approach, providing hands-on, project-based learning in a gamified environment.
Recognition
What’s more, it leads to an EU recognized French Diploma which is equivalent to a bachelor’s degree upon completion of level 17 of the curriculum.
Modules
42 SG offers modules in various ICT fields, including coding, computer programming, cyber security, network infrastructure, and data science, among others.
Eligibility
It is open to individuals above 18 years old, including Singapore males who have completed national service, regardless of their academic qualifications. The program is full-time and requires approximately 40 hours per week to complete.

Admissions Process
The admissions process is rigorous and here are the steps.
Step 1: Register at http://apply.42singapore.sg
Step 2: Take a 2 hour memory and logic test. No coding knowledge is required for this section.
Step 3: Attend an introductory session to meet with 42 Singapore staff
Step 4: Attend The Piscine. That’s French for swimming pool, which is a 26 day series of tests and determination. It includes weekends an tests your determination and desire by engaging you in basic coding and collaborative learning with other participants through projects and evaluations.
The selection process aims to ensure a baseline of perseverance and resilience among students.
Application Period
42 Singapore started accepting applications in March, and the program will commence in September.
